Probably dating from the late 1800's to early 1900's and measuring 1 & 3/16" NBS Medium, this is a carved white pearl button. It is embellished with 6 cut and polished steels. It's a 4-hole sew through. In very good condition! $14

Probably dating from the Victorian era ca. 1890's, & measuring 1 & 11/16" NBS Large, this beautiful brass button depicts a poinsettia. It is pictured and described in "The Big Book of Buttons", page 575.7 where it reads, "POINSETTIA, of brass stamped in high relief and set with small facetted steels, applied to a one piece, brass button." When we found this button in an antique shop, it had a pin soldered to the back of it and the large round brass shank had been bent over slightly to accomodate the pin. My husband removed the pin and straightened the shank. Another button rescued!!!

Probably dating to the 1950's, & measuring 13/16" x 11/16" NBS Med, here we have a wonderful example of the artistry of the porcelain Arita buttons made by Toshikane China. This foo dog was on a card of 6 and has the original paperwork with it. It has a trademark and "JAPAN" on the back. It has a self shank. You are buying one button. I want to keep the paperwork with the other 5 buttons. Excellent Condition! $75

Probably dating from the late 1800's and measuring a hair over 1 & 1/4" NBS Large, here we have a tinted stamped brass picture button called, "Children in the Alps." They appear to be dancing. It has a black lacquer steel back and wire shank. In very good condition! $25

Signed and numbered #15. This studio button was painted and issued in memory of M. W. "Freddie" Speights in 2003 by Linda K. Ellison. It measures 2 & 1/8" x 1 & 11/16" NBS Large and has an applied plastic shank. It features a circus ring master with his hoop and whip, and his little terrier dog. In very good condition! $15

Probably dating from the late 1800's and measuring 1 & 1/16" NBS Medium, here we have a white pearl button featuring a brass escutcheon of a hanging basket of flowers. There are very small holes drilled in either side that is the means of attaching the escutcheon. It has a brass turret shaped shank that is swaged in. In good condition. $12

Dating from the late 1800's and measuring 1 & 3/8" NBS Large, here we have a brass picture button featuring the fable, "The Eagle and the Snake." It has a black lacquered steel back and a wire loop shank. In Very Good Condition with some normal age wear to the black lacquer on the back. $15

Dating from the mid to late 1800's and measuring 1-5/8" NBS Large, this wonderful button features a lovely lady framed in a corner of cut and rivetted steels and art nouveau-like scroll work. It has a U-shaped metal shank. I believe this to be silvered brass. In very good condition except for light wear on the finish on the rim. $30
