This very detailed beautiful stamped white metal button features a handsome sea captain. It measures 1 & 1/16" NBS medium and has a metal shank. This button resembles those pictured in "The Big Book of Buttons" as French Provincial Costume buttons. I don't see this particular one pictured, but otherwise the construction and style is similar. Probably dating from the late 1800's to early 1900's and measuring 11/16" NBS Small. This is a stamped brass button featuring a bird with a sprig of berries and leaves in his beak. It has a nice velvet background. The back of the button is brass with a brass self shank. In very good condition! $8

I believe that this backmarked white metal button dates to late 1800's, found in "Dating Buttons", by Warren K. Tice. It has "GAS" on the front & the brass back is backmarked, "WATERBURY BUTTON CO *" between two dotted rings. Rigid brass loop shank. It measures 7/8" NBS Medium. IN NICE CONDITION W LIGHT NORMAL AGE WEAR TO THE SURFACE. $4
