Dating from the mid to late 1800's and measuring 1" NBS Medium, this is a dyed black hair that is woven into a basketweave pattern and set in a fabric button. This is either human or horse hair. It has a pad back and is backmarked, "FINE TRADE." In good condition with light normal wear. $12

Dating from the late 1800's to early 1900's and measuring 7/8". This button has hair that is dyed dark green and woven into a basketweave pattern. It could either be human hair, or from a horse? It is set into a darkened brass metal that has a basketweave pattern. This would be a GREAT button for a patterns tray! In good condition. $15

Dating from the late 1800's, & measuring 1 & 7/16" NBS LRG. This button is pictured & described in "The Big Book of Buttons", pg 392.18. The button shows a young woman sitting by the banks of a stream among cattails, apparently listening with her hand cupped to her ear. An owl flies in the foreground. The design was actually taken from a painting called "Listening to the Fairies" by Cuno von Bodenhausen. Very Good Condition! $30
