I believe that these gorgeous iridescent buttons may be abalone, but I'm not certain of that. They have been carved from natural ocean pearls which makes them all a little different in thickness and coloring. The coloring goes from gray to pinks and greens. They each measure a hair under 2". I HAVE 4 OF THESE. $6 EACH
Probably dating from the late 1800's to early 1900's and measuring 1 & 3/16" NBS Medium, this is a carved white pearl button. It is embellished with 6 cut and polished steels. It's a 4-hole sew through. In very good condition! $10
Probably dating to the mid to late 1900's and measuring 1 & 1/2" NBS Large, here we have a white pearl button called a "Bethlehem" pearl by collectors. Sometimes they have a tag on the back, but this one doesn't. It is so intricately carved and very lovely! It has a brass loop shank. In great condition! $20
Here we have a vintage (probably mid-1900's) card of buttons from the Sears, Roebuck and Co. Each pearl button measures 1 & 3/16" NBS Medium and has pastes set into the metal border. They have metal backs and shanks. The card has a crease and wear to the corners. The buttons are in very good condition! $12
A beautiful original button necklace made from an antique carved pearl measuring 2-3/8". This giant pearl is trimmed with antique steel cup buttons featuring tinted pearl and steel other material embellishment. The shanks of the small steel cup buttons are still intact and are sitting in pierced areas of the base pearl, then they are bound with the cord that completes the necklace. Two brown china gaitor buttons on the ends of the cord. It measures approximate 23". $65

Probably dating from the late 1800's and measuring 11/16", here we have a carved gray pearl featuring an embellishment of rivetted black glass attached to the center by the brass loop shank. In good condition. $10
Dating from late 1800's to early 1900's and measuring 7/8", here we have a tinted brass fly perched on a green snail pearl. It has a brass loop shank. It has a 1/8" defect along the edge and the red tint on the fly has normal age wear. Otherwise, in very good condition. $9
Dating from the late 1800's, and measuring 1-1/16", here we have a lovely Victorian era pearl button featuring a border encircled with etched flowers and insects. It's a 2-hole sew through. In good condition. There is a speck of dirt you can see on the scan that cleaned off. $10
Dating from mid to late 1800's, and measuring 1-1/16", here we have a pretty green snail pearl set in a very fancy brass border with twinkle background. It has a black lacquered steel back that is backmarked, "NOUVEAUTES*PARIS*". It has a wire loop shank. In good condition. $14
