I believe that these are vintage mid 1900's. They are a set of 6 bone buttons with carved Oriental characters. Each button says something different. Each measures 11/16". They have carved self shanks. In very good condition. I've left them on the card they were sewn on when I bought them. $20
Probably dating to the late 1990's, and measuring 1 & 11/16" x 15/16" NBS Large, here we have a carved and bone button depicting a mask-like face. Stain is rubbed in the carving to make it stand out. Probably a cattle bone. In very good condition! $8
Probably dating to the late 1990's, and measuring 1 & 5/8" x 7/8" NBS Large, here we have a realistically carved bone ostrich button. The feathers & details have been scrimshawed. The bone is probably from cattle. In very good condition! $10
These four buttons are realistically carved Gods of Fortune measuring approx. 1" x 11/16" NBS medium. I believe that they are bone, but I'm not an expert and don't want to hot needle them. They have turret shanks. All in good condition. $50
Probably dating from the mid 1800's, and measuring 1 & 5/16" NBS Large, this button is made of dyed and molded horn. It features a high relief head of a beautiful woman with lots of detail especially in her hair. It's in very good condition for this type of button. I believe that the holes in the reverse are pick marks from the process of taking the button out of the mold and not worm holes. The front has a very fine line on her face. It has a heavy metal loop shank inserted into the back. $14
Here we have a realistic camera made of some sort of resin. It measures 1&3/8" x 1" NBS Large and is even realistically painted! The flash looks as though it's going off, and there's a reflection of the picture being taken on the lens. Very neat! It has an applied plastic shank. In very good condition! $10
A molded hard rubber button dating from the mid 1800's with the molded image of Lady Liberty on the front and a nice beaded border. It measures 11/16" and has a metal loop shank. It is backmarked, "N. R. Co./GOODYEAR'S P=T. 1851". In very good condition with only light age wear. $8
I have a total of 5 of these buttons. This button reminds me of a ripe blackberry! I believe that it is a composition plastic? type ball shape button that is covered with black glass beads. The beads are threaded together and then it looks as though they are glued to the ball base. It measures close to 7/8" NBS Medium and has a 4-way box shank. $5 each
