Probably dating to the mid to late 1800's, this is a dyed and molded horn livery button. It features a griffin, which is a fabulous animal with the head and wings of an eagle, ears of a horse, and body of a lion. It measures 11/16" NBS Small and has a metal U shaped shank inserted in the back. In very good condition. $12
