From the late 1800's to early 1900's, this is a clasp type buckle with two large jewels. It has a brass Art Nouveau swirly border and pastes set in a triangle shape around a triangle shaped black glass jewel. It measures 3 & 3/16" x 1 & 9/16". Each part has a brass shank and could be used as two buttons, if taken apart. It is nicely backmarked, "GESETZLICH/GESCHUTZT." Looks German to me. In very nice condition! $30
